Studies have shown that team building or reward days motivate staff, bring teams closer together and create a happier more productive work force, but it can be hard to choose something that suits everyone in your business. So here are my top five ideas to make your team building day go with a bang.
First on the list is probably the original team builder; orienteering. It may seem a little drastic to take your team out to the countryside and leave them to find their way back together, but an orienteering session forces a team to cooperate and work together. Splitting staff into teams also drives up the competition and can make it more enjoyable for the more competitive team members. In activities like this, an employer often gets to see more genuine versions of their staff, and will often find qualities in others that they’ve never noticed before.
If your workforce needs to laugh together more, then nothing will give them a good giggle like taking part in an ‘It’s a knock out’ contest . You could go for a full day tournament with gladiator podium fights, blow up apparatus, water slides and silly costumes, or just choose a couple of activities. Round the day off with a BBQ or buffet and by hometime your team will be best of friends.

At John Lennon Liverpool Airport Parking itself is plentiful, carefully divided into long-term and short-term car parks. The ‘short term’ facility is immediately opposite the main entrance. There are practical reasons for this. The positioning of the short term parking close to the main entrance is to persuade people to use the ‘short term’ parking area as a ‘drop off’ area, where you only need a moment to take a traveller as close as possible to the Terminal building and then drive away. Short term tickets are kept to an encouragingly low minimum price, but overstaying the 20 allocated minutes can be a very expensive mistake!
Clear signposting all around is a positive feature. There are six main parking areas, clearly designated Short Term, Mid Term and Long Term parking: two are Indoors. The Short Term parking bays are for passengers who wish to leave their car for one day, or up to a week.
Passengers wishing to leave their vehicles for a longer period will be pleased to discover that the longer term tariff is considerably cheaper. The same high quality, professional levels of security are evident in all the parking zones, which are well lit and constantly patrolled. Because none of the car parks are more than 500m fro the Terminal Foyer, it was felt that a shuttle or transfer bus would not be needed. Naturally, any passengers who have mobility or other problems accessing the airport are catered for. Blue Badge holders will find a car park reserved exclusively for them as close to the Terminal entrance door as possible.

China is vast, populous country that never ceases to fascinate the world with its multitude of offerings. Wherever you go in China, you will be treated to a unique plethora of sights and sounds. Planning a China travel tour is never easy, as there is just so much to see and do that you may not have enough time for them all. Nonetheless it is a good idea to narrow down what aspects of China you would like to see based on your interests and which part of the country you will be visiting.
While there can be infinite possibilities on where you can choose to tour, here are my recommendations for three must-see places.
Visit the majestic Great Wall of China
One of the must-see and all-time favourite destinations in China is the majestic Great Wall of China. You have not visited China till you have toured this incredible structure, which spans thousands of miles and was built in around ten centuries.
You can visit a number of sections of the Great Wall which have been opened to public access, each possessing its own unique scenery. The Badaling section is probably the most visited by tourists due to it being accessible via only an hour’s drive from the capital Beijing. The terrain is generally friendly for walking, while the views from the top are simply incomparable.
If you are rugged and adventurous, you can take a hike between the Simitai and Jinshanling sections which also offer stunning views. However you have to overcome some rough and steep terrain.
