Cerritos: Your Surfing Spot in Cabo

by Paul Garnett

If you love surfing, there are actually good surfing sites in Cabo San Lucas, considering it is bounded by the great bodies of water such as the Pacific Ocean.

Cerritos

Cerritos, or Santa Lucia de Los Cerritos, is a place of natural beauty and it provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere for visitors.

Cerritos is a popular surf site in Cabo. The forty-five minute drive towards Cerritos is also an awesome experience as it will give you the wonderful sight of the desert and the Pacific Ocean from the opposite sides of the road.

The waves in Cerritos are ideal for experienced surfers and beginners alike. If you haven’t tried the sport, you may find the waters inviting and want to learn surfing. Local surfing instructors are also available for hire in Cabo, so learning could be fun and easy.

Aside from surfing, Cerritos is also a place for campers. Camping is common in the area, so you might also enjoy camping after doing some surfing. Oftentimes, campers make bonfires to keep them warm at night.

Reaching Cerritos may be difficult without a local guide. The roads leading to the place do not have signs and landmarks so it is suggested that you should take a guide to avoid spoiling your surfing adventure even before reaching the beach.

Surfing Instructors

Since surfing is not the simplest of all summer activities, you should learn how to surf from professional surfers so you won’t get injured and enjoy surfing in the beach instead.

Tips on how to prepare for your family vacation – what to pack in order to survive travelling with your kids.

by Jennifer Hess

A family vacation is a time for family members to spend quality time with each other. It is a great way to get some relief from the stress of work, school, and other parents’ and children’s responsibilities. A family vacation is a way to enhance family relationships and bonding, as it is one of the only times that everybody tends to relax and enjoy the moment. Here are some packing tips to help you enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

Make sure that each child has their own backpack where they will put their fun items like toy cars, barbie dolls and snacks. Its a good idea to have luggage with wheels that can be rolled so they can carry it easily. Assist the older kids in packing so that they will pack things that are important and will be used during your vacation. The best way to maximize the space of your backpack is to roll the clothes tightly. Put the light clothes first, and then the heavy ones. It will make your bag feel lighter.

When choosing which clothes to bring, consider the weather conditions. If you are going to a hot place, be sure to bring in your sunglasses, sun hats and some sun protection lotion. Make sure the clothes you bring are comfortable to wear and easy to put on and take off. Don’t forget to bring a jacket and a pair of long pants for each member during cold weather.

These days, we’re all trying to save money and watch our spending habits, but sometimes you need a break from your everyday life. Seeing a new country or city and immersing yourself in the local life is often just what you need to recharge and get your energy back.

Fortunately, this is a great time to travel. Thanks to the current economic situation, you can find great deals on everything from air travel to hotels to cruises to home rentals, both here in the US and worldwide.

Here are 7 ways to get even more out of your travel budget:

1. Go where the dollar is strong. This year, that means Europe (the UK, Iceland and Turkey in particular), New Zealand, India, South Africa, Mexico and Chile. Exchange rates fluctuate though, so keep an eye on them.

2. Put your frequent flier miles to work. If you haven’t accumulated enough for a ticket yet, see if you can combine miles and cash. But before you book your award trip, make sure it’s worth it. With all the deals around, you might be better off just buying this particular ticket and saving your miles for that dream trip to Australia or around the world.
