Discount Travel Airfare to Panama, Central America

by katie George

Travel to Central America has always been very expensive from the US. However, the trade routes into Panama have consistently provided an opportunity for discount travel airfare to and from Panama. The amount of discount is often a function of the type of cargo and the actual form of air transport you are willing to accept.

Traveling as Cargo

Many of you may be surprised to learn that Panama may have more airfields available for light cargo planes than any single state in America. Practically every cocoa or marijuana field has its own private landing strip providing the capability to load fairly substantial amounts of cargo. In such cases, discount travel airfare from Panama might be necessary for the cargo owner. Thus, if you are not a very qualified liar, you might expect to spend some time in jail in the arrival city in the US. In such cases the discount travel airfare from Panama may in fact be more expensive than a regularly scheduled flight!

Discount travel airfare to Panama is much less adventurous. The simplest thing to look for is a two engine small passenger plane that is making frequent trips to Central America. Contact the pilot directly and negotiate your discount travel airfare to Panama. These guys think they are beneath the radar, and the fact that you know they are going to Panama for a reason that is not very popular with the DEA, can result in a very low discount travel airfare to Panama. However, one must understand that such discount travel may not be to the desired port or city, and further negotiation of the discount travel airfare to Panama is not possible once airborne.

Five Suggestions for Flying During the Holidays

by Lynda Baskin

With the crowds, the delays, the security, and the increased prices, not many people enjoy flying.

The only thing worse than flying is flying during the holiday season. The crowds are far bigger, the delays tend to be longer and more frequent, and fares are almost always significantly higher. But, if your family or your business takes you far enough from home, the airlines are your only option. Only corporate CEO’s and Superman can avoid the airlines.

You may never look forward to holiday flying, but you can reduce your frustration by following five simple suggestions.

1. Whenever possible, use an online travel site like Kayak or Priceline to find the best flight times and the most competitive prices. If you are booking holiday flights, do so as early as possible; your options will be far greater if you do.

2. Print out and put in a file two copies of all flight information, hotel information, rental car information, etc. If you do not know the route between the airport you are flying into and your final destination, either bring a GPS, rent a GPS, or print out internet directions and add them to your file. Carry the file with you (do not put it in checked baggage).

3. Always take advantage of online check-in to get your boarding passes and to pay for baggage.

4. Check you bags and get boarding passes curbside. This simple step may sometimes save you an hour.

Airfares are rising almost daily and finding a cheap or discounted airline ticket can be next to impossible. While this is true it IS still possible to find cheap airline tickets even for international and overseas travel.

These are five discount travel companies you can check out for some really dirt cheap airline tickets.

This airline is Irish and based out of Dublin. If you’re looking for cheap fares to Ireland and even some other major European cities you’ll find them here. They offer flights to San Francisco, Chicago and Washington among others and you can get flights as cheap as $340 one way from New York to Dublin.
